Get involved early

Each Penn State campus is unique, offering students a vibrant student life full of opportunities to participate in clubs and organizations. Getting involved in a club will help you find friends with similar interests. Penn State has over 1,000 student organizations! There are groups based on academics, sports, politics, religions, and many more! With so many choices, chances are you will find a organization just right for you. This is a great way to make new friends.

Look for campus events

Each Penn State campus has a lot to offer. There are athletic games and many campuses offer late night events. At University Park, there are events taking place in the HUB every weekend. There are also plays and musical events where students can get reduced ticket prices. Of course, hanging out and watching movies with friends is also popular.

The Penn State Engagement App

The Engagement App is available to all Penn State students and will help you find and track experiences that align with your interests. As a Penn State student, you will have a wealth of out-of-classroom opportunities within your reach. The Engagement App will help you find those opportunities so you can embark on a meaningful out-of-classroom journey to complement your in-class learning. Some examples of the opportunities you will learn about include student organizations, undergraduate research, study abroad, community service and/or internships.
